Hot Tub Plans and Additions
I am looking to find someone to let me install an in-ground hot tub for a fraction of what it should cost.I drafted some basic plan for an in-ground hot tub a few years ago.
Step 1) excavate
Step 2) run plumbing (plan calls for having the pomp and filter in the basement of the home)
Step 3)Crushed stone and compact
Step 4) Form, set jet pipelines
Step 5) Concrete, Rebar, Concrete
Step 6) Strip the forms and run the electrical
Step 7) Finish with tile, closed cell foam, plaster or some other type of finish
Step 8) Set jets
I aven' dpoe one and it's hard to sell them if I haven't done them. I suppose I could, but I like to sell surety and peace of mind more than "This idea I had". It's not that the idea isn't any good. This particular model is for 2 people, but is sized for 4 people. I must redraft the plans I had. No idea where they got to.
Now the idea is "Draft 3 models and just sell one". The problem is that they'll be different sized models and I don't want to have to make one that seats 8 people. Then I'm also selling at a high price for something I haven't even done yet.
I could draft 3 small models and a medium sized model. I think that's what I should do. Can do a nice iregular blue stone patio around it. "Noby likes irregular, they like the patio tile smooth and flat". See, I like the irregular, the texture, not as smooth and must be set as flat as possible. It's thicker and longer lasting. You could opt for thermal bluestone. I understand not wanting to have to deal with the texture of irregular bluestone barefoot. Again, I personally would prefer ti, but I get it.
I also strongly feel that there is good money in additions. Could pour some Tuskany Pillars and do a pergola or even pour a footer and build CMU wall, probably best to core fill it for longevity and then we can build with any wall stone you can find at the yard. I myself am not the biggest concrete and CMU guy, but the footer will be covered and the CMU isn't the finish while I do love laying some nice wallstone.
Have a retractible roof installed. Thinking about some potential options. The issue with the roof is that rooves are typically built out of wood and I am not a carpenter. Project will require electrical anyway, minor plumbing, could have a "hot tub room" built with a shower sink and bar , do some extra plumbing.
See, I can make up and sell anythng hahahaha, it's a lot to deal with and handle. Listen, want do you want? I can do this all day. I'm humble and modest. I'll give it to you mostly at cost, because I like these projects. I don't do a lot of them. My architectural background is thin and architects and "interior decorator" have almost become one thing these days. I'm not a big "shopping for light fixtures" kind of guy, because, I actually do masonry hahaha.
Well, whether it's a hot tub, a hot tub room or a simple addition I would be more than happy to examine the projects proposed scope and come up with some options for you.
If you're interested in having an in-ground hot tub installed for "time and materials", don't hesitate to be in touch. I'm moving back to Troy from Cohoes this month, but will be drafting plans to have on file and possibly hosted on the website for individuals to browse.
Peace, love and God bless,
Craig Lamach
